Book Repair and Conservation, now part of the Collections Care Department, were in separate workspaces on level three. The new space created on level two accommodates workspaces and offices for both operations and allows for shared equipment. These sections will be just across the hall from Stacks Management, which is another section of the Department.
This space was created in an area which, until September 2019, housed some sections of the Library Information Technology Department.
The spaces that Book Repair and Conservation vacated on level three will become study space for our patrons. We hope to add a café in the space as well.
