Oak Paneling Removal and Ceiling Replacement – Level 2
Old oak paneling was removed. Walls were patched and painted and a chair rail was installed. The old drop down ceiling was raised and new lighting was installed. We are still awaiting new furniture to replace the tables and chairs currently filling the area.
Science Offices Demolition and Relocation
We made way for a new Help Desk, improved the sight line from north to south, constructed new offices for Science & Engineering department members, and relocated two single-user restrooms.
New Family History Classroom
We created a classroom to facilitate the many training classes offered by the BYU Family History Library.
Music and Dance Glass and Wall Removal/Furniture Rearrangement
This project was undertaking to improve lines of sight, access to natural light, and movement through the space.
Book Repair and Conservation Relocation
Book Repair and Conservation, now part of the Collections Care Department, were in separate workspaces on level three. The new space created on level two accommodates workspaces and offices for both operations and allows for shared equipment.
